It has been pretty much confirmed that RTX Mobile series might launch soon, assumingly at CES 2019 early next year. We have, in fact, seen numerous notebooks featuring 8th Gen Core Coffee Lake H series, which are set to launch next month. The 9th Gen Core S Series are also to be paired with RTX Mobile series but only in barebone systems which offer full Z370 chipset with desktop socket support.
Chinese OEM called CJSCOPE confirmed such system featuring RTX 2080 MXM graphics card. The notebook codenamed HX-970 GX will be offered with RTX 2080 MXM featuring 2944 CUDA cores and up to 1847 MHz core clock.
It also confirmed the shipping date which is tipped to be January 15, 2019.
The clock speed of the RTX 2070 Mobile is slightly higher than the RTX 2070 Founder Edition. These are probably A variants, which are capable of sustaining higher frequency. The Max-Q variants of RTX 2070 have been spotted on Gekkbench (even more power efficient SKUs) will probably launch later when thinner designs are ready for launch (such as ASUS Zephyrus).
