The Deepcool LS 300 is a 120mm all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler designed for PC builders seeking efficient cooling for mid-tier CPUs like AMD’s Ryzen 5 and Intel’s Core i5. With its sleek ARGB lighting, anti-leak safeguards, and compact design, it’s a solid choice for small-form-factor (SFF) builds. But how does it perform in real-world scenarios? We put the Deepcool LS 300 to the test on a Ryzen 5 2600 test bench to find out.

Design & Features

The LS 300’s minimalist design is perfect for SFF builds. The pump head features a mirrored ARGB logo that syncs with Deepcool’s software or motherboard ecosystems (ASUS Aura, MSI Mystic Light), while reinforced FEP tubing with anti-leak technology ensures long-term reliability—a major plus for users wary of liquid cooling risks. The included 120mm PWM fan (up to 1800 RPM) delivers decent airflow, and for added aesthetic appeal, we paired it with the Antec Fusion 120 ARGB fan, which complements the cooler’s design with vibrant lighting. Installation is straightforward, thanks to universal mounting hardware for AM4/AM5 and LGA 1200/115x sockets.

Performance & Testing

To thoroughly evaluate the Deepcool LS 300’s cooling capabilities, we tested it on a Ryzen 5 2600 test bench under various workloads, including gaming, productivity tasks, and synthetic stress tests. At idle, the cooler maintained stable temperatures between 30–38°C, with occasional dips to 30°C in a well-ventilated case. During gaming sessions in Cyberpunk 2077, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, F1 24, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, the CPU hovered around 55–65°C, peaking at 65°C during intense scenes. For productivity tasks like Blender rendering (BMW benchmark), the LS 300 kept the CPU under 70°C, which is well within safe limits for sustained workloads. Under the more demanding Cinebench R23 stress test, the CPU peaked at 75°C after 10 minutes of continuous load, showcasing the cooler’s ability to handle synthetic loads without thermal throttling. Overall, the LS 300 delivers reliable cooling for mid-tier CPUs, making it a solid choice for gamers and productivity users alike.

Noise Levels & Everyday Use

At lower RPMs, the LS 300 operates quietly (28–30 dB), making it suitable for office or casual gaming setups. Under heavy loads, noise climbs to 32–35 dB with the stock fan, which is audible but not disruptive. The Antec Fusion 120 ARGB fan was added primarily for its design and aesthetic appeal, complementing the LS 300’s ARGB lighting with vibrant, customizable effects. Pump noise is minimal, though perceptible in silent environments.

Air Coolers vs LS 300: Space vs Efficiency

Large air coolers like the Noctua NH-D15 or Deepcool AK620 can match the LS 300’s thermal performance but dominate motherboard space, often blocking RAM slots or GPU clearance. The LS 300’s 120mm radiator, by contrast, fits snugly in compact cases like the NZXT H210 or Cooler Master NR200, freeing up room for components and airflow optimization—a critical advantage for SFF builds.

Verdict: Who Should Buy It?

Pros & Cons

Pros:Cons:
Space-Saving Design: Perfect for SFF builds.Limited High-TDP Support: Struggles with Ryzen 7/i7 CPUs.
Anti-Leak Tubing: Reliable long-term performance.Fan Noise at Max RPM: Louder than premium AIOs.
Vibrant ARGB Lighting: Customizable via software.Price Positioning: Competes with budget 240mm coolers.

Final Thoughts

The Deepcool LS 300 delivers a compelling mix of style, reliability, and efficiency for mid-range systems. Its anti-leak tech and compact radiator cater to space-constrained builds, while the ARGB lighting adds a touch of flair. While larger air coolers can match its performance, they lack the LS 300’s sleek footprint. For those willing to tweak, swapping the stock fan with an Antec Fusion 120 ARGB adds a touch of extra cooling and ARGB flair.
