FloBiz announces ‘Build for Bharat Challenge’ for Android Developers across India

FloBiz, the neobank for growing Indian SMBs, has announced the launch of “Build for Bharat Challenge” in association with HackerEarth. FloBiz, which offers a popular GST billing & accounting software called myBillBook, has designed the challenge exclusively for the talented Android developers across the country to solve profound challenges for the Indian small businesses. The participants stand a chance to win attractive prizes and rewards, along with the opportunity to work with the FloBiz team directly. The participants of this hackathon challenge will be expected to solve Android application development questions using Kotlin & native Android. While registrations are already on, the hackathon challenge will commence from October 22.

Participants will get a range of questions around Android application development which will need to be solved within a duration of 8 hours. Performance in the challenge will be judged based on the preset parameters of quality, scalability and robustness of the code written. Top 10 finalists will receive exciting hampers, and all the participants will receive certificates of participation. Shortlisted participants will jump ahead of the queue and interview with FloBiz for a full-time job opportunity.

With over 50 lakh downloads across the country, myBillBook is the flagship product by FloBiz with a strong presence in regions like Maharashtra, Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu, which account for more than half of its total user base. FloBiz aims to triple its engineering, product & data teams within the next 6 months to continue to develop user-friendly and reliable solutions to cater to wider SMB audience. FloBiz has recently raised $31 million in Series B from Sequoia Capital, Think Investments, and its existing investors Elevation Capital and Beenext in September 2021.
