Launched in 2018, the cloud storage service Google One now lets you archive data from iOS or Android smartphones for free. To do this, you just need to use your Google account.

The ability to archive data from Android smartphones became available to users last year. Now a similar feature has appeared on iOS. The app will be able to archive photos, videos, contacts, calendar events, consolidating the capabilities of the individual Photos and Drive services into a single solution. The Android app, which previously allowed you to back up files from your smartphone, will now offer the same functionality even without a Google One membership.

Along with backing up files, the updated version of Google One also simplifies the management of stored files. This allows users to manage files stored in Drive, Gmail and Photos from a single place. The storage management function is available in the app or via the web interface.
When registering with Google One, the user gets 15 GB of disk space for free, and if you need to store more data, you will have to use paid tariff plans starting at $ 1.99 per month for 100 GB.
