Huawei launched it’s latest offering from the Nova Seies at an event in India. The latest work of the Nova series “Huawei Nova 3” and “Huawei Nova 3i“. Speaking of the Nova series, the image of the middle range from the entry class is strong, but “Huawei Nova 3” released this time completely overturns the image.
Both the devices will get Huawei’s GPU Turbo via an OTA update in the near future. GPU Turbo is a software update said to improve graphics processing efficiency by 60% while reducing the SoC (System on Chip) energy consumption by 30%, exceeding the limits of the balance between smartphone performance and energy consumption. Huawei also says that even if its device doesn’t support High Dynamic Range (HDR), it will still be able to deliver “outstanding” graphics quality with GPU Turbo tech.
Huawei Nova 3
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.3-inches display with an FHD+ (2340 x 1080pixel) resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio display with 409 PPI.
Under the hood the smartphone is powered by (Octa-core + i7 microprocessor) HiSilicon Kirin 970 (4 x Cortex A73 2.36 GHz + 4 x Cortex A53 1.8 GHz), coupled with 6 GB of RAM, storage storage option are 64 GB / 128 GB. The GPU is Mali-G72 MP12.
Since Kirin 970 is equipped with NPU and has excellent AI function, power efficiency increases and battery holding becomes longer, and a camera can easily take a beautiful optimized image even with the automatic setting. The rear camera setup supports AI scene recognition.
In terms of optics the phone features, a dual 24 megapixel (mono) + 16 megapixels (colour) rear camera with PADF focus, F/1.8 aperture that supports autofocus (deep focus, phase focus, contrast focus). The front camera is 24 megapixel (colour) + 2 megapixels (colour), F/2.0 aperture, supports fixed focal length.
The Huawei Nova 3 has 128GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).
Other features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for connectivity. It also includes a fingerprint sensor at the back and supports a Face Unlock feature as well. Besides, the smartphone packs a 3750mAh battery. The smartphone measures 157×73.7×7.3mm and weigh around 166g.

The Huawei Nova 3 price in India is Rs. 34,999, and the smartphone goes on sale in India on August 23. As for the price in India of Huawei Nova 3i, buyers will have to shell out Rs. 20,990 and sale will commence on August 7. Both the handsets will be Amazon exclusive in the country. Pre-orders for the two models will start today at 2pm. Launch offers include no-cost EMIs, extra Rs. 2,000 off on exchange, and Rs. 1,000 cashback on pre-booking.
