Design
The Cloud Stinger is a budget headset that is very evident from the plastic built except for the internal metal arc inside the headband of the headset despite having a plastic built it does not feel cheap. With a weight of 275 grams, Cloud Stinger on the head is almost not felt, which will sit at your favorite games for a long time without any fatigue. For additional adjustment, each headset cup can be pushed back into 12 fixed tick marks.
One of the features of the Cloud Stinger is the headset cups rotated by 90 degrees. This makes the shape of the headset more versatile and provides more comfort with extended use. The slider placed on the right bowl is responsible for adjusting the volume, and when the microphone is raised up it is turned off, which you automatically do when removing the headset from the head.
The lack of a foam pad at the very end of the microphone is disappointing, as a result of which the sound of wind from a window or other extraneous noises can leak into the air.
In general, the quality of materials and build quality of Cloud Stinger leaves a positive impression, especially given the low price.
Sound
Cloud Stinger also includes a 3.5-foot extension cable that has two 3.5mm plugs to use with PCs that have separate headphone and microphone jacks.
This headset is great for video games, for which it is primarily intended and for listening to music. It is worth noting that sound can compete with more expensive models from famous manufacturers as SteelSeries, Logitech, Razer.
The Cloud Stinger handles low frequencies better and offers a big bass response. The positive side is that in gaming applications, the user can benefit from this. You begin to clearly hear not only the movement of opponents but micro-sounds, such as switching an optical sight of an enemy sniper in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or the sound of a spell cast in Dota 2. The reverse side of such settings is not the best way to listen to Cloud Stinger music especially if the track has a lot of bass. Both internal and external sound insulation is excellent. The microphone voice quality is good due to the presence of noise reduction and good sensitivity. The microphone is a unidirectional polar-pattern.
Testing Cloud Stinger with mobile devices like Pixel 3 and One Plus 6T the Cloud Stinger performed good with PUBG Mobile and while testing few songs on YouTube sounded clean and dynamic.
In the budget category, the Cloud Stinger’s sound is superior to almost all competitors.
