Xiaomi announced the Redmi 9 smartphone in Spain. The base variant with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage is will cost around Rs 12,000 and the cost of the top variant with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB will cost Rs 15,000.
The Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch IPS screen with Full HD + resolution (2400 by 1080 pixels). The display is protected by tempered glass Gorilla Glass 3 and the screen itself occupies 89.83% of the front panel.
The Redmi 9 is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 SoC with two ARM Cortex-A75 cores with a clocked frequency of up to 2.0 GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores with a clock frequency of up to 1.8 GHz, as well as an ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.

The Redmi 9 Redmi 9 boasts a quad main ( (13 megapixels F/2.2 + 8 megapixels F/2.2 Ultra-Wide + 5 megapixels macro + 2 megapixels scene depth analysis) and 8 MP front camera which can also be used for face unlock.
The battery capacity was 5020 mAh. It supports 18 W charging, but only 10 W charger is included. But there is a USB-C port and a standard headphone jack. There is also Bluetooth 5.0, an FM receiver and an NFC module, but the actual availability of the NFC will depend on the region.
The device runs Android 10 out of the box with MIUI 11 skin on top of it. The device will be available in 3 colour options black, green and purple.
